Publication dates, reporting periods, provider calculation dates and retrieval times mean different things. We display their source and preserve timestamps during outages.

News

We display attributed official release headlines and direct links, without publisher photos or article bodies. Independent outlets remain directly linked in the directory. Commercial publisher feeds are disabled unless reuse rights are documented. Headlines stay in their original English.

Official releases are labeled separately from independent outlets. The left/center/right labels apply only to the linked publisher directory and describe editorial groupings, not reliability scores. Only feeds with a documented reuse basis enter the automatic news list.

Software selects and groups these headlines without editorial review. Pictures are generic illustrations and do not show the people or events named. Errors or removal requests: use the contact on the legal notice page.

ElectionsUSA · Polls

ElectionsUSA provides a weighted average for the hypothetical Newsom–Vance 2028 question, licensed CC BY 4.0 for its computed series. Original poll links and fieldwork end dates are retained. Its documentation separately identifies CC BY-SA terms for compiled Wikipedia fields. This is the provider’s model, not our own forecast.

LNS14000000: seasonally adjusted civilian unemployment. CUUR0000SA0: unadjusted CPI-U, all items, U.S. city average, 1982–84 = 100. Year-over-year inflation = (latest index / same month a year earlier − 1) × 100. Missing observations and annual averages are excluded.

BLS:

National Archives

The National Archives records the certified 2024 result: Harris 226, Trump 312. Allocations based on the 2020 Census apply to 2024 and 2028. State geometry comes from us-atlas and Census-based data. No state-level 2028 polling is inferred from this map.

Maine: 3 Harris / 1 Trump. Nebraska: 1 Harris / 4 Trump. Statewide winners determine shading.

Refreshes & outages

Our server fetches news every 10 minutes, market prices every 30 minutes, polling every hour and BLS data every six hours, then stores the results. Pages only read that stored copy, so a page view never calls a data provider. When a source fails, the last good reading stays with its original retrieval time. Data older than twice its refresh interval is marked stale.
